Hope Cove is Old English meaning small-enclosed valley. It perfectly sums up this delightful village which slopes down to two attractive award winning beaches
Hope Cove consists of the two villages, Inner and Outer Hope. Originally a small fishing and crabbing village, Inner Hope remains much as it was centuries ago.
Kingsbridge, a market town about 5 miles. Individual shops, sports centre and indoor heated pool, bowls rink, cinema. Outdoor adventure parks, farm attractions, riding, swimming, sailing, sail-boarding, golf, tennis, cycling, National Trust properties, fishing, boat hire and trips, power-boating, etc.
Salcombe, Devon's most southerly town about 4 miles. Great beaches, watersports, coastal walking, tiny side streets with varied shops. Plenty of great pubs, restaurants and lovely beaches.
